Wall.Balloon.Art combines mathematical pattern design with the cross-weave balloon wall technique. Algorithms generate unique patterns that are translated into detailed building plans for professional balloon walls.
A cross-weave wall consists of three layers of balloons woven in a diagonal pattern. The main layer forms the cross, duplets fill the large gaps, and connectors link the intersections. Together they create a dense, three-dimensional surface.
Each design is created using mathematical concepts: sine waves for ripple effects, distance fields for heart shapes, mirror symmetry for kaleidoscopes, and pointillism for organic color distribution.
Each design is converted into an interactive HTML building plan with SVG visualization, color swapper, diameter calculator, and printable production guide. Everything you need to build the wall.
Main Layer — Oval Link-O-Loon balloons at 45°
Duplets — Round duplets in the large gaps
Connector — Small duplets at intersections
Grid: 14 rows × 38 columns
Balloons: up to 1,013 per wall
Colors: 71 Sempertex colors
Inflate levels: 6 sizes
Mirror symmetry with 4 to 32 fold variants. From flowers to abstract mandalas.
Distance field algorithms create heart shapes with wave bands and color gradients.
Undulating patterns radiating from the center, with smart spacing for optimal filling.
Organic color mixing with radial bias, inspired by the painting technique.
